I’m so excited to share that we won Best New Design Blog for 2016 at the Design Bloggers Conference held in Atlanta, Georgia. Thank you so much for voting for us and making Live Stylish Daily what it is today. I’m always so honored and grateful to have so many readers that love and support what I do, so thank you, thank you, thank you! Your continued support is always appreciated!
We had such a great time at the conference and are so excited to implement all that we learned at the conference. We gained so many new tips for continued growth on our blog and social media, that I would strongly suggest that any of you looking to gain more knowledge in this arena, to attend their next conference in Beverly Hills, March 5-7, 2017.
If you are unfamiliar with the conference, it’s a two-day event that brings together design bloggers, designers, PR professionals, media and other design enthusiasts to learn how to build and promote their blog and social media followings. Overall, it’s a great conference full of important information needed to grow a successful online presence. If you are looking to break into this market, it’s a must to attend.
This year the keynote speakers included Cynthia Rowley, India Hicks, Nathan Turner and Mary McDonald. Each gave a background of where they started their brand and how they were able to evolve them into what they are today. My personal favorite was India Hicks and Nathan Turner, who supplied us with great laughs from their unique sense of humor and jokes during their presentations.
Another one of our favorite speakers was Justina Blakeney of The Jungalow who gave an awesome presentation on “How to Blow Up Your Brand and Be Creative Everyday”. She was a phenomenal speaker and a breath of fresh air on this subject. Overall, it was very fun, insightful, and a great experience. Now, I will leave you a few favorite quotes from the event.
“We are not only relevant to our children and our families, we must also be relevant to ourselves and do something and be something for ourselves.” – India Hicks on creating a lifestyle brand as a wife and a working mother.
“I am not a minimalist. I like stuff, I am a maximalist!“- Nathan Turner
“Never clashing, but vibrating.” – India Hicks
“Take your digital presence and bring it in during an emotional moment.” – India Hicks
