GLAM SQUAD
Modern Euro glam made its way to High Point in April by way of a new collaboration between Houston-based interior designer Nina Magon of Contour Interior Design (contourinteriordesign.com) and Universal
Furniture (universalfurniture.com). “The collection was designed to bring accessible, livable luxury to homeowners, designers and apartment/condo dwellers looking for sleek surfaces, modern shapes and bold colors,” says Magon, who is known for her forward-thinking, modern European aesthetic. The collection is at once aspirational and attainable-“It is the perfect blend of Universal and myself,” she says~-with leather-wrapped case pieces, bronze accents, jewel-toned upholstery, smoked glass tabletops and lacquered finishes lending to its sleek, glamorous appeal. At approximately 50 pieces, the collection bears Magon’s name but is marketed under the Universal umbrella and reveals an edgier side of the furniture giant. Pressed to choose a favorite piece, Magon names the angular Marcel console. “It is a stunning table that features angled bronze metal legs and a Carrara marble top that would be a statement piece in any room,” she says. -Katie MeNew
