CHICAGO- Notorious for its energetic atmosphere and impeccable food scene, the Windy City draws notice from music festival goers to established business people from all over the world. When it comes to finding a place to stay, Chicago’s got quite a few options, each just as chic and sophisticated as the city itself. Here is a list of just a few of the beautiful and luxurious hotels I love to stay at while visiting Chicago.
LondonHouse
Located in the heart of the Windy City, the London House is one of the most exclusive places to stay. Established in a building that was designated as a historical landmark in 1996, this hotel provides views that are insane. And to top it all off, the decor is to die for. The design boasts classic meets contemporary with a color focus on charcoal, white, chocolate, and hints of teal and gold. Honestly, from the lobby to the stunning rooftop terrace, London House is one of my go to places to stay in Chicago.
The Langham
If understated elegance is your preference, then The Langham is the place for you! Set in a city known for its extremely brutal winters, this hotel is nothing but warm and inviting. This hotel is adorned with floor to ceiling windows that give way to breathtaking views and the rooms are furnished in neutral colors accented by dark woods, rich textiles, and contemporary furniture. Whether you are there for business or pleasure, you will most definitely enjoy your stay!
The Public Hotel
The Public Hotel is the reimagined and renovated result of the famed Gold Coast’s Ambassador East Hotel and Pump Room restaurant. The former hotel and restaurant was previously “the place” to see and be seen, and trust me, it still is. Guest rooms and suites are furnished in both custom and hand-picked pieces that create the comforting feel of a home away from home. Believe me, once you experience it, you will never want to leave.
The Thompson
Another Gold Coast option is the stunning Thompson hotel. With an interior decorated in warm woods and mid-century inspired decor, this hotel feels like you are visiting another time period in its entirety. The Thompson entices you to try a taste of Chicago by being just steps away from the Magnificent Mile, the Museum of Contemporary Art, Oak Street, and the renowned dining and nightlife. The breathtaking views of the skyline and Lake Michigan keep me coming back for more every time.
Keep up with me as I talk about all my best hotel experiences around the world!
