One of the most rewarding moments you can experience as an interior designer is seeing your work come to life. After numerous months of hard work, dedication, and many hours devoted to fine-tuning the final design, there is nothing compared to seeing all the design details come together to make a client’s home truly special.
Our most recent project just wrapped, and we had the home professionally shot by our favorite photographer, Laurie Perez. And when comparing the final photos to the original design, it was a must-see transformation that I had to share on the blog.
Modern Bachelor was a very special project to us. It was designed for a great single dad of two, who was looking to modernize a very traditional home. We completely modernized the home (which you will see in a few scrolls) by revamping the interior architecture and structure of the space first. The traditional arches found throughout the home were reconstructed to have more straight lines, and was also raised in height to make the space appear to be larger and have higher ceilings (design trick to note! ;). All original lighting and flooring were replaced with more modern pieces and materials. We also added all new drapery treatments and redid all the millwork and furniture in the home.
Check out these before and after pics and see the design transformation. Share what you think in the comments!
