Last week we hosted a Brazilian-themed Carnaval night celebrating our design for the new 51fifteen Cuisine & Cocktails in the stunning and newly improved Saks Fifth Avenue Houston. It was such an amazing event with more than 300 guests who gathered to celebrate this moment with us. To make the night even more special, ticket sales and silent auction items benefited local charity Dec My Room – a non-profit organization that decorates the hospital rooms of children who are admitted to the hospital for prolonged periods of time. As a decor lover myself, I value the impact our environments can make to our overall well-being. I absolutely love this organization and the ladies at Dec My Room! A very special thank you to Kathy French, Courtney Barta and Susan Plank for helping us with our event and allowing us to give back to this great cause!

Walter Suhr & Mango Punch
LD Dance Company
The night featured live band Walter Suhr & Mango Punch and samba dancers from LD Dance Company. Walter Suhr & Mango Punch were AMAZING and were able to get our guests to dance, including me! LD Dance Company’s performances were spectacular and they even taught us a few samba moves. To make the night even sweeter, we had fabulous raffle item giveaways throughout the night, including a B&B Italia chair, but the definite icing on the cake was our stunning emcee for the night, KHOU’s Chita Johnson! She is such a beautiful soul!
I wanted to thank everyone again who attended Carnaval de 51fifteen and for helping to make this night a spectacular success!
