I am so excited to share that we have been selected as one of the top 25 designers to participate in Design on a Dime Miami benefitting Housing Works! Design on a Dime is Housing Works’ premier design benefit that is usually held in NYC and this year will be their first time to expand outside of the state to Miami, Florida. (How fabulous!)
The event will bring together Miami’s most influential tastemakers, designers, and celebrities at the Moore Building in the heart of Miami’s design district for three days of interior design and home decor inspiration and shopping. (SO AMAZING!) What makes the event so unique for us is that we have to create a unique vignette from donated merchandise. It’s really fun, but challenging since we cannot create the final design until all donations have come in, and that’s where the design process truly begins. So right now, we are in the process of putting the puzzle pieces together.(This may be harder than my experience to design on the fly on NBC’s American Dream Builders…lol)
Although this will be challenging, I am so honored to be able to raise national awareness and funds for Housing Work’s mission to end the AIDS epidemic by participating in this event. Housing Works is a healing community of people living with and affected by HIV/AIDS. Their mission is to end the dual crises of homelessness and AIDS through relentless advocacy, the provision of lifesaving services, and entrepreneurial businesses that sustain their efforts.
I am so grateful to all of our donors for helping us shed more light on this cause by donating so many incredible pieces and I cannot wait to unveil in our final vignette. And of course, I wanted to celebrate them and showcase some of their amazing products and my favorite finds with you today and give you a sneak peek at what’s to come.
