There are 11 days until X-mas and where did the time go? August was just yesterday and here we are, weeks away from the end of the year! At this time, there is always a big debate as to when the right time is to put up the famous Christmas tree. Let me be the one to tell you, anytime is the right time! Kudos to those of you who finished your holiday decorating before December 1st, and for everyone else who has been waiting to deck the halls, I have some tree decorating inspiration to help get you into the spirit.
This year Contour Interior Design was selected to create a designer holiday tree that would be auctioned to benefit MD Anderson Pediatric Cancer Center. My vision was to create a tree design that was modern and eclectically beautiful. We created an ombre tree that transitioned from black to silver with a shimmering white peak.
I know what you are thinking…where in the world can I buy an ombre tree? Luckily, Hayneedle has a wonderful selection of trees including this ombre tree. But if you don’t have time to wait for shipping you can always use spray paint like we did! For this tree, we used black, silver, and white ornaments to help create the ombre effect.
